Book Review: Remember Me?

By Sophie KinsellaI love this book! Chick lit isn’t dead, it’s simply a fact that nobody can keep up with pros like Kinsella. For example, take the amnesia angle. Been done before, right? Blah. Who can make that interesting, fresh, novel and new? Sophie Kinsella. The amnesia angle has never been done quite like this before.
The main character, Lexi, loses the past three years of her life. In most peoples’ lives, this would be no big deal. However, for Lexi it is. She has undergone some MAJOR changes in this time-frame. It is safe to say that she is no longer the same person. She’s gotten in shape, has killer fingernails, maybe had a little work done, drives, has her boss’s job, all new friends and lives in an amazing condo. Her new life seems to be some sort of fabulous dream. In real life, it’s a bit of a nightmare. But I won’t tell you why or I’ll spoil all the twists.
The plot is believable, the characters and their motivations, even the behaviours. As well, there is the odd evil co-worker involved and of course, personal growth for the main character.
All I can say is it’ll make you laugh, cry and not be able to put it down. I was sad when the book was done. I want more! It’s been weeks since I read it and I still want more. I know it’s a story I’ll read again. Enjoy!
